This pendant was meticulously drilled and cut by hand from an actual New Zealand 2 dollar coin. It features a kotuku, or white heron.

The kotuku is a beautiful bird that is very rare in New Zealand, nesting in only one location on the west coast of the south island. They are revered by the Maori people, and spotting one is considered good luck  

It comes on a strong and hypoallergenic 20" stainless steel chain. Other chain or cord options are possible upon request.
